Deep Thoughts...sort of

Amanda and I sometimes chat via yahoo messenger. If you haven't tried the IM revolution, you should. It's special.

Anyhow, we IM'd for a little while tonight, and our conversation actually got almost deep for a few sentences. It was a rare IM moment for us, so I thought I would share part of it (Amanda's comments are in the color of her coat):

Soprano Gal: i know the big one upstairs has a plan i just wish i could be let in on the secrets more often
me: yeah, i'm not that patient
Soprano Gal: i'm not either
me: i don't know if I really believe in predestiny with relationships, though
Soprano Gal: that's why i want to know
Soprano Gal: i don't know what i believe when it comes to that
me: i don't think there's only one "right" person out there for me
me: like a soul mate, I guess...I dunno
Soprano Gal: i want to believe in soul mates, but i'm not always that sure
me: we're getting deep...awesome
Soprano Gal: sweet
me: well, don't you think that if you believe in only one true soul mate, then you'll wonder if you've met him yet, even if you're with someone who is great but not perfect?
me: does that make sense?
Soprano Gal: yes
me: thoughts?
me: i struggle with this, too, by the way
Soprano Gal: i'm tired
me: no!
Soprano Gal: that is my thought
me: unacceptable
Soprano Gal: yes
Soprano Gal: whatever dude
me: I need substance
me: Feed me, Seymour!
Soprano Gal: me?
me: lol
me: ok, good point
Soprano Gal: HEY
me: hahaha
me: I crack myself up
Soprano Gal: you're fired
me: do I get unemployment checks?
me: that would rock
Soprano Gal: not in my world
me: fine, be that way
me: get yourself to bed, if you must.
Soprano Gal: yeah, i'm not allowing myself to blog...i need sleep at a decent hour
me: i'm putting this conversation on my blog
me: certain parts edited out, though
me: i'm too lazy to write anything, so that's what I'll do
