Hello again
Woo-wee! It's been a long time since I've blogged. Here's a quick update on what's been going on with me this past month:I finished my summer classes and have a couple of weeks off.
I slept in until 10:30 this morning (see above). It was nice.
I need to start packing for my move. I hate packing, but I'm looking forward to living in my new place with my awesome future-roomies.
I have way too much stuff that I don't need.
I learned how to crochet. It was exciting.
My dad finished his chemo treatments and his test results look good for now. That's a huge relief.
My hair decided that it doesn't want to be straight anymore, so instead of fighting it with a blow dryer each day, I'm letting it do whatever it wants (with the help of a little anti-frizz product). So, no, I did not get a perm and I'm not curling my hair each day...it's been straight all my life, but now it's not. Weird.
I need to get back to the gym. I've been a slacker this month.
I hate Kansas summers with 100 degree heat and nasty humid air. Yuck.
I've narrowed down my PhD options to two schools: University of Oregon in Eugene and University of Colorado in Boulder. I like mountains. I'm visiting Oregon on Aug 25 and Colorado on Oct 6.
Celebrity Fit Club and The Biggest Loser will have new seasons on TV this fall. I'm very glad for that, not because I like those shows (I don't) but because it would have really messed up my thesis research if they weren't going to be on the air.
I talked to one of the current Oregon doctoral students over the phone. She told me that there are lots of hot young guys in Portland. Holla. (no, that's not all we talked about...we spent a couple minutes talking about the PhD program).
