Colorado

My trip to Boulder went well. CU has a beautiful campus nestled in the foothills of the Rockies. The personality of the campus/students is, as Janelle says, "Like Lawrence on crack." Or on magic mushrooms, if you prefer. I got lunch at a place called Cheba Hut and ordered Kush (a BLT sub). I almost got the Rasta Pasta. That pretty much says it all.

I like the area (especially the purdy mountains) and the PhD program seems like a good one, but it takes four years. FOUR YEARS. Holy crap. I have until mid-February to get my application in if I decide to go. I'm definitely leaning towards stopping after my master's, though...I don't think my brain is worth the investment of four more years. I'll probably choose sanity over knowledge. But I got some lovely photos of the campus while I was there:
