Beautiful Damien

Last night I went to the Damien Rice concert at The Uptown. It was amazing. That man is very talented and sounds great live. He did a slower, piano-based version of Rootless Tree (otherwise known as the F-You song), and I really liked it that way.

One of the most memorable parts of the concert was when he stepped out to the front of the stage with his acoustic guitar and played/sang Cannonball without any microphones on him. The entire audience got really quiet and we could hear him singing "unplugged." Very cool.

I'll definitely be going to see him again next time he comes to town.
